Is cleaning making you sick?

Why is it a good idea to use natural cleaners?  A recent study published in the journal Occupational & Environmental Medicine  suggests that children exposed to bleach are more prone to suffer from cartoon family cleaning by akarakingdomsinfections.  It states “Passive exposure to cleaning bleach in the home may have adverse effects on school-age children’s health by increasing the risk of respiratory and other infections. The high frequency of use of disinfecting irritant cleaning products may be of public health concern, also when exposure occurs during childhood.”

I can understand why some like to use bleach, it is a cheap, quick disinfectant that has been used for a long time.  When I was younger working at a spa, we used it all the time, for washing the towels, cleaning and so on.  So at home I got use to cleaning with it, especially the bathroom.  After having my babies, I have become more aware of what I use and try not to expose them to toxins.  Most of the time I use either a natural cleaner or water and vinegar mixed together.  And I open up all the windows in the room so that any smell can be aired out.  Now that my daughter is getting a little older she loves to help out “cleaning”.  She wants to help me, and so I give her a little rag with water on it and she goes around cleaning the windows.  I think it is great for kids to help out cleaning, but I also think they should stay away from chemicals and toxins.  So its a good idea to try to stick to more natural cleaners for your home.  You can make your own buy them already made.  I like to use both, vinegar and water for daily cleaning, and a natural cleaner when company is coming.  Vinegar is great but the smell is not the best, so I like using the natural cleaners when I’m having friends over.

Here is a list of some natural cleaners we found online.  Please let us know your reviews on any natural cleaners you have used in the past!  We love getting your feedback so please let us know what you think of these products or if you know of any that work well.
