NON GMO Snacks for my Toddler!

ID-10059468Gerber Lil’ Crunchies Veggie Dip sounds like it should be a healthy snack for a toddler. The packaging gives off the impression that this product might even be wholesome and natural.  But a recent report from GMOFreeUSA might make you think otherwise.  They published the results of an independent lab test today which shows that Gerber Lil’ Crunchies Veggie Dip Baked Whole Grain Corn toddler snack contains high levels of herbicide tolerant, insecticide producing genetically engineered corn.  As a mother of a toddler I have no desire to feed my child a GMO containing food.  Mothers want safe and healthy snacks for their children.  At GMOFreeBaby.com we are of the opinion that GMO’s do not belong in our children’s food.  We looked up some alternative organic options:

1. Happy Munchies Organic Cheese & Grain Snacks, Broccoli Kale & Cheddar Cheese

2. Happy Munchies Organic Cheese & Grain Snacks, Cheddar Cheese with Carrot

3. Sweetie Pie Organics Fruits and Veggies Snack for Toddlers Variety Pack

4. Plum Organics Teensy Fruits

5. Annie’s Homegrown Bunny Graham Friends. NONProject Verified GMO

GMO Free USA is urging Gerber to commit to removing GMO ingredients from all products and to enroll in the Non-GMO Project for third party verification.  Read the Gerber Lil’ Crunchies Veggie Dip test results report by clicking here.

Thank you GMOFreeUSA!
